have taken a wander round a new wooded are to see if can be used for stealth camping (martinshaw woods near leicester if anyone knows it??)

sorted some pine bark that was peeling off for future tinder.

have been messing around with reflective paracord, making lanyards and stuff.

more planning and looking for tools to make stuff with, i.e. curved mora for spoons and watching a few youtube vids on knife making.

not a great deal really compared to what some others have done...but its a start isnt it

Today myself and my kids sorted out our fire kits and refined some spruce resin. Now the snow is all gone, hopefully get down to some serious camping..

Collected some natural firelighting materials and lifted some weights (I really do need to get back into bushcrafting shape[not the Ray Mears shape tho])

Not exactly bushcraft but today i managed to sort some of my garage out and found some kit that i have not seen since i first packed it, found a large'ish willow log that is bone dry, different sorts of nylon cord/ paracord, messtins cooking pots ect and that is just a starter, im only about a quater of the way through it and think its going to take a few more days to see what else i can find but that will have to wait for alittle longer.

Given its been the nicest day in a LONG while I suspect most have been out doing stuff today

I pitched my tent and resealed its seams, aired out my sleeping bag, tried my tarp with the tent, lit a bbq for the kids
