    kent pattern axe mod. sorry

    First of all I'd like to apologise to those who are disgusted at even the thought of modding a kent axe. I'm a big fan of Kents myself and wouldn't have done it if it wasn't in such a sorry state.

    Apologies over and here she is. I think it looks sweet so far, still needs finishing off but it's almost there

    Could be a bit unsafe with those cracks, they tend to creep once they start

    I don't think it i crack I think it's from when it's been forge weilded together. I could be wrong tho. Do u have experience of the crack creeping ?

    That would never of left factory if it was like that when made, and every time it hits something the crack will enlarge to the point of total failure, loosening of the shaft fit will be a signal of the crack opening up. Welding may fix it but no guarantees.
