Whilst on a farm this morning met a chap that I did a falconry course with many years ago. He was building a trap to recover one of his eagles that had decided freedom was more favourable at the moment. He was having problems working out a release mechanism for the trap so taught him a method that I learnt on the course some of the members attended earlier in the year.
Just waiting to see if it works now...
I made a pop can meths stove from two Monster cans (the drink of champions!) and then brewed up on it![]()
I also received my second Millbank bag through the post! I misplaced my first one, turned the house upside down trying to find it so the missus bought me another one. Quite literally, within the hour I found the first one behind the breadbin (??!!) so I'm the proud owner of two bags now!
second bushcraft of the day - I made another pop can stove, this time the pressurised one with a penny on the top. Works a treat, made another brew on it! Also learned from my past mistakes, used a block of nylon and three small screws to make a blade holder to securely hold the razor blade. No injuries this time!
Just recorded my first ever Wild/Foraged Food Recipe for the Urban Bushcraft Podcast.
Hope I don't sound too much like a robot on tranquillisers!!
