Defeat is an absolute consequense for the one that have neglected to do the necessary preparations - bad luck we call it

My daily bushcraft yesterday - making fire to burn all the wrapping and boxes from Christmas and experimenting with my hammock. And today? I'll be using rope and knots to tie a double glazed door to the roof of my Jimmy!

Itching to go out and test those snow shoes. So naturally with all the rain we've had on top of the snow, and now a freeze, the woods are just one giant skating arena. The ground is covered in a 30-40 cm thick sheet of solid ice. There are cramp ons under the snow shoes so it could be done. But I think I'd rather just wear normal cramp ons on my boots...just need to purchase a pair. Only problem with that is that if a buy them, the gods willo dump a mter of white powder on us...hmmm...not a bad idea, maybe then I will get to use the snow shoes!

Nothing nicer than waking up to find you have a new fence to build!
