Cool Wilderness Photos, Missouri PIC HEAVY

    Sorry for my absence, guys
I am back from my time in Missouri, and I must say that I have never loved a job as much as I loved my work managing wilderness areas for the US Forest Service. The whole experience has been such a benefit to me, and I cannot thank the folks I new at the Potosi Ranger District of Mark Twain NF enough. I haven't had a lot of time to spend on forums, so most of my thoughts were recorded on my blog and in a written journal. To that end, I would like to share with you some pictures of sights I got to see on a regular basis, as a sort-of "photo collage" .

    Thanks for looking .

It's a shame you're not doing that anymore, hopefully you'll get something similar soon...
I for one will miss your trip reports and pictures .
Hope 2017 brings you great success 👍👍

That's looks so beautiful. It must be a joy to feel a part of looking after such a place.
    Good work.

    Thanks, chaps

Don't worry, this is just the beginning. I plan on either applying for season wilderness ranger jobs, or taking another SCA position like this one.
As of now, I have earned the following certifications through the Forest Service:
FFT-2 grade C (fire fighter type 2/wildland fire fighter), grade C gives me $18/h on fire detail and fire training
    Chainsaw A bucking
    Crosscut B bucking
    First-Aid/CPR
    federal gov. driver's license
    Leave No Trace Trainer

Oh, the amount of time I worked from the 2nd of May to the 28th of October adds up to 1081 hours . With all this experience, I can shoot for the Moon and quite possibly land another very similar job, and then I would be given a salary instead of an "allowance" (but hey, the allowance was tax-free, so I 'aint complaining ). I can apply to GS-4 and GS-5 level jobs now...basically, mid-tier stuff .

    Nice :-)
