    Food

I was in Tesco yesterday and noticed they have slashed prices on some tinned food. 300gm cans of PEK brand chopped pork £1 and Tulip brand Bacon Grill £1. Both tasty for tinned food and both pretty high in fat content so ideal for cold weather breakfasts.

At camp soak overnight a pack of http://www.tesco.com/groceries/produ...Q&gclsrc=aw.ds next day boil then simmer for a while until soft/mushy and bung in a tin of the PEK chopped pork for a real belly buster meal.

I'll take the meat but wouldn't thank you for the peas, I'll be in Tesco tomorrow to buy a few things ready for Sweden in January, thanks for the heads up.

People rush for 'boil in the bag' meals when in fact if you at the range of canned food available why bother with a BITB? If you can't carry an empty can home then I'd suggest you ain't fit enough to be outdoors lol.

Can of corned beef £1.50, Tesco instant spud 29p, spoonful of dried milk for the mash and you've got another good meal which will not let you go to bed hungry. Dice the CB, add to the water needed for the mash, when the CB has softened through add your milk powder and the jobs a good un. Use your imagination and you can eat well for not a lot.
