Got out to Shell Island for a week with the family, first time they have all been on a camping trip. Proper Glamping, but the kids enjoyed it and the wife now has the camping bug. Will get the eldest out wild camping with me next.

Nice place for the kids to have a bit of freedom. I used to take mine there when they were young and they still remember those happy camping holidays.

It's a lovely area. I've never camped here (https://www.nantcolwaterfalls.co.uk/walks.php) but it's close by and the walking is superb.

Nantcol is a lovely camp site but with a young family Shell Island wins IMHO, big site, sand dunes and Dolphins

Definitely Rik. Kids loved the island. Crabbing on the causeway. Rock pooling - we had a nice supper of shrimp one night, bodyboarding on the beach and then exploring the dunes. We never left the island.
