Thread: Heyo!

    Heyo!

Hi, I'm a high school student from Malaysia, and I will be completing my IGCSE at the end of this year.
I really enjoy bushcraft and the outdoors (obviously), and I hope I can study ecology and zoology plus a career as a ranger and a naturalist.
Maybe, I might further my studies in the UK or Australia.

Ever since I was young, I've always wanted to join the scouts and be part of a group that enjoys the outdoors, but sadly, I did not receive the opportunity.
That was my biggest and most depressing regret of my life.
I did join the Boys' Brigade but they focused more on marching than survival skills, so I had to teach them myself from books, videos and practice.
But because I was not guided, I'm pretty sure I'm doing some things wrong. :/

Ultimately, I had to leave Boys' Brigade as well because of my age as well as my studies.
However, I'm still trying to be hopeful and find a group that accepts young adults.

My inspirations include David Attenborough, Steve Irwin, Charles Darwin, Bear Grylls, and a heck ton of animals.

Besides all this, I also have an interest in philosophy, science (especially ecology), mathematics, chess, drawing, card tricks and *cough* furry.

    hello Nukeyfox,
to the NBCUK forum. If you do decide to further your studies in the UK or Australia good luck with that. You've taken the first step joining the NBCUK community & I'm pretty sure the other forum members will look forward to your inputs.
    Regards

    Hello and welcome Nukeyfox.
I've just finished a degree in conservation and ecology as a 'mature' student. A brilliant three years. I'm sure you'll love it.

    Sure hope so.

I'll Ray Mears a look; I have never heard of him.
