    hello,
Ashmantle I haven't tried these in my boots as yet. May well be worth a browse or even a trial. Thanks for the reply.
    Regards

I've been using "Sole" insoles in my walking boots + shoes for a few years. Makes a lot of difference for me. Definitely not cheap but very long lasting (2+ years) for shoes/boots worn daily.
I understand that a lot of troops in Iraq + Afghanistan used them????

+1 for Sole insoles - I've had the same pair in my Lowa's for years. Not cheap but very comfortable and ultra durable. I wouldn't bother putting them in the oven as per instructions in the first instance - they seem to mould themselves pretty well without the heat.

So I bought these ones instead because I'm a cheapskate and they had good reviews...

They made a huge difference today.
My feet are not throbbing and the legs are not aching , so I'm yet to find out if those superfeet insoles, really are that good, but these will do for now...
