    Metal detecting

I've just been out playing with cheap metal detector I picked up.

To test it I went to a camp ground where i i lost the flame spreader for my Go systems flexu fuel stove a couple of years ago...and I found it!!

ALso found an old nail, and a bottle cap, proving that the thing can actually detect metal. But I need a shovel as I only had a trowel, and I shopulkd probably also invest in a pin pointer
if this is going to be a regular thing.

Else it was beutiful weather and I used my wood gas stove to get a brew up. All in all a very nice morning in the local woods.
Sadly the area is being furtehr developped for housing...and they have started celar cutting allong the walking path that goes trough the area, so acess to the woods behind is going to be
    more difficult.

There is a great comedy from the BBC called 'The Detectorists'. It is on Netflix in the UK, I don't know if you would get access to it in Norway?

Some genius scenes in it, the buttons lecture in the first episode is very funny.

Binge watched both seasons yesterday. Was out this morning for an hour, after purchasing a collapsible trench tool to dig with.

Found one spent 7.62 x 55mm NATO cartridge, an arrowhead, probably from one of those glass fiber arrows we used to shoot with our bows when I was a kid,
a hair pin, and assortment of candy wrappers and some unidentifiable scrap metal...oh yes and nails...lots of nails, and then the heavens opened up and I ran for cover in the car.

Just don't wear steel toe-capped boots! (or you could be digging for a long time!)
