In the event an eyelet had pulled out of your tarp, you could grip the tarp with the pliers and tie the handles together and then you'd have somewhere to tie off from.

How did I miss this. They are awesome. I'm thinking larger version for fire tongs and food tongs - I manage with the simple hazel ones but these take it one step further. Also thinking skinning dog fish (can't beat the ole nail through the head and peeling method.) Clamps for some field woodwork (hole and string through each handle twist to clamp down). Pegs for general hanging of clothes and herbs etc...
