    I'm after some fat wood.

I seem to have exhausted all my resources through here! Nearly out so could do with re-supplying

If anyone has any spare I could buy or trade for it.

    Cheers

    Shepherd.

If you have any pine trees near you, just go and break off some of the dead, dry branches ate the bottom. Nearly as good.

Punk wood is chared rotten wood that you process the same as char cloth but easier to use stike a spark into a tin of it lasts longer than char cloth remove lite ember close tin and the other bit stop burning due to no oxygen . If i can finish your slate stone i will send you some plus some material that makes awsome char cloth it the old material rolls from hand wipe dispenser it will catch with a tinyest spark even after charing it it is still quite thick water thicker than a tshirt t shirt chared .

    hello Woody,
Punk Wood i.e. rotting decaying wood, this can be charred also. Please be careful how you store this preferably outside as there's fungi & other insects associated with decaying wood you wouldn't want inside your home.

Nice, it's for this and other many reasons I love the Bushcraft ways, no waste!
Everything can be used for something or other , even when it was not intended for it...
I look forward to playing with some of this punk wood, and charring it like you and Gerry said.
    Brilliant
    Thanks David
