hello,
We were chatting offline about this sometime ago & now across the pond BCUSA have started a thread on the subject. http://www.dream-hammock.com/shop.ht...tegory=4019214 Sidewinder tent pegs quote "they are made from corrosion-resistant commercially pure titanium offering light weight and good strength. The .140" square rod and the unique hook shape offers a secure hold and helps prevent the stake from spinning in the ground. For an even more robust stake, we offer a staple shape that provides much more holding power." these can be shaped & made into steel (titanium) strikers used with flint or struck along the edge spine of a knife which should shew sparks. I recall years ago the use of old iron tent pegs & these were bent shaped into a C shape & used as a striker. We've come a long way since..
Regards
David
