Had to pimp my new Hultafors Agdor, did a bit of kolrosing on it.
Still quite crude as its only my 2nd attempt, but learning more each time I try.
Thanks for looking

hello,
Awesome a WIP (work in progress) or should that be a masterpiece MIP? BTW Kolrosing is a very old Scandinavian decorative craft whereby wood is basically tattooed. Unlike carving or engraving no material is removed from the piece, rather, a fine cut is made straight into the wood & some darker material is rubbed into the cut, leaving the cuts nicely darkened. Originally coal dust or pine bark sawdust were used. It's a simple method, requiring tools you may already have lying around & depending on the design you use it could be very easy or quite a challenge. I'm by no means an expert on this subject. I have tried ground up ochre & dust from other agates for this art or craftwork.

David

hello,
This maybe of some assistance https://familysearch.org/wiki/en/Nor...98,_and_%C3%85 or you could search for free fonts online type search "Norwegian or Swedish fonts". You could make a template transfer the details onto the axe shaft in pencil erase afterwards.
