Le Prevo is where I get my leather. They seem the best value.

Isn't it nice when someone says "that's a great piece of kit, where did you buy that", then you can modestly reply "you can't buy it, I made it myself". The moral is, it's amazing what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.

cheers what leather would you recommend for a sheath and also some for pouches for fire kit etc
3mm veg tan shoulder should do it. Bearing in mind sheath leather is heavy for a reason. As for pouches etc, I usually use recycled stuff. Old boots, handbags, sofas and even the odd shot bike jacket will get used. You use far softer leather where blades aren't in the equation.

Tandy leather is another one to try. They have some good videos on YouTube as well
hello,
The leather I'd suggest same as Midge_Fodder skin yourself an urban buffalo (sofa) apart from the leather is there anything else you require for your project?

I Bought a stitching awl off eBay. It was only £6 but really decent quality. Have a swatch on there for leather working tools.
