    first attempt at leather work...

    Hi all.

not done any leather work before but always fancied it, the end goal being able to make sheathes etc. I got in contact with one of my pals who makes and sells alot of leather bits and asked if he had time to give a newbie a days tutorial.. he suggested i pop over and make a leather bound journal, as id be able to use all of the tools and get familiar with them, id be able to dye the leather, learn to saddle stitch and add hardware to the leather too. all be it on a small scale.. very happy with how it turned out for my first ever bit of work. i really like the antique leather dye we decided on. i think iv added another hobby to the list!
