Nice initial impressions. I've been thinking of getting one for a long while, but worried about the edge and self sharpening gimmick. Is it a gimmick? Does the knife perform in everyday tasks? How does the edge hold up over time? I might just pick one up next week to see. .

I wouldn't have said it was a gimmick in honesty. It works well. Everyday cutting tasks it performs very well, it doesn't retain an edge well but then it doesn't need to, open and close it a few times and it's like a razor again. Well worth the money
