    Looking for flint 2016

    hello,
I'm replenishing my Bushcraft kit for up & coming winter sessions. I've started doing the inventory & running low on good quality flint I'll pay for both the flint & postage. I'd rather trade with NBCUK members I'm familiar with than evil bay (e-Bay) or big river trading (Amazon)
    Regards
    David

There's a quarry not far from me. Reasonably sure there's some flint by product so I'll ask around locally and send some up as a gift if I get any.

    hello,
I received a small box today from forum member Humakt who very generously sent me the box free of charge containing nodules of very good quality flint. As Humakt won't accept anything in return (I won't forget the good deed) I made a donation to the Scottish Lomond Mountain Rescue Team via an associate in Glasgow who fund raises for the Lomond Mountain Rescue Team. I've explained why I made the donation & it was accepted. So.. again thank you Humakt for your generosity. I've tried & tested the nodules & throwing off sparks no problem.
    Regards
    David

    hello,
Thanks for the reply. I support the Veterans charities & donate to the Lomond Mountain Rescue Team when I can. Today was a good opportunity. The flint went to a good cause too.. LOL.

    hello,
*Update.. I've received another small box of English black flint shards from an (anon) Bushcrafter who picked up on my thread looking for flint. Awesome I've got enough now for my winter fire lighting skills tuts in the coming months. Thanks again for offers. This is what makes the NBCUK an awesome place to be.
    Regards

    hello,
Me too. Just to replenish my stocks for up & coming winter fire lighting skills with a group of lads with special needs/learning difficulties & Duke of Edinburgh Award candidates. Just popping along to a green area it's the only place that's not sodden at the moment, set up a demo have a brew etc.. a few shards going to a mate who's making his own arrows & heads at the moment.
    Regards
    David
*Edited I received a huge Sistema box load of English (South Croydon) flint today. Nodules measured against my Bridge steel striker.
