Back on topic during treatment my wife's car broke down twice....mobile phones helpednsolve the problem. Given we have almost no payphones outside of major towns and cities now it's becoming an essential piece of equipment.... That and also these days people are reluctant to allow strangers to use their phones....

I can definitely agree to that. More than once my cellphone has saved me and others a lengthy trip out-of-my-way. Pay phones are, at least in the eyes of most tech users, obsolete. But there is some truth to that seeing as how fewer and fewer places have working pay phones...because everyone assume that everyone else has a cellphone.

Regardless, reliable communication is vital, as I'm sure you already know.
