    Hi from the Netherlands

    Hello,

My name is Matis. I am 16 years old and I live in the Netherlands.
I have had a passion for bushcraft for years, but this year it really started to grow. Since I became 16, I was allowed to sleep alone in the woods. Before I always had to go with an adult.
I am saving money for after I finish high school (when I am 17/18) and then I will go to Belize, a small country below Mexico. I want to go there because it seems like a great way to slowly get used to the Central American culture, since they speak English there.
My father is Turkish, so I would really love to bushcraft in the Turkish nature, which can be really beautiful (search for Koprulu canyon, Milli Park, Karadeniz Doğa)
But in the meantime, I want to practice in the Netherlands, which sometimes can be difficult since we don't have large forests, there are never big pieces of forest that aren't surrounded by paths (you usually cant't get further than 200/300 meters from a path) and the water is usually polluted with chemicals from the agriculture.

I have also found several places where the water is clean because it does not flow through agricultural places, and my Sawyer can filter it.
Here are some of my bushcraft pictures.

For some kind of reason I cannot upload most pictures, only these two

    Hallo en welkom, Matis!

Large forests are a great resource, but sea coasts and open meadows are also not to be forgotten .
Great shelter, I have to get around to constructing one...the last one I made was a decade ago.

With the photos, it could be that the size of the picture is too large. If you can resize it down to 800x600 pixels, it should work great. You can also upload pictures to photobucket and post them here by copying the "direct link" for each and pasting it inside [IMG] [/IMG] brackets. Hope this helps

    Hello,

    Thanks all
Yes, the problem was that the format of the pictures was too big. Now I can upload them. Thanks

As you can see I accidently still had the macro modus activated, so only the centre is not blurry
