Victory awaits the one, that has everything in order - luck we call it
Defeat is an absolute consequense for the one that have neglected to do the necessary preparations - bad luck we call it

I have heard about that, especially the somewhat pompous "full English breakfast".

How can this possibly be pompous?

Oh gosh, and here I thought a farmer's breakfast was the breakfast of champions with 1500+ calories!

Now hold on one flipping minute!
Great Britain takes a lot of flack for our cooking and cuisine (if 'cuisine' is not too pretentious a name for toad-in-the-hole). But if there is one thing we, as a nation, know how to do then that is breakfast!
It'll put hairs on your chest and make a man of you. An Empire was built on it.
Yes, other nations do greasy fry-ups. Yes, other nations do big brekkies. But a proper English breakfast will give you enough of a charge, enough satisfaction, and enough calories (and no more!) to go out and damn well sort out the world!
Breakfast, and the pub, are two things that NO OTHER NATION EVEN GETS CLOSE TO COMPETING WITH US.

Well, I must say that our Continental breakfast has been thoroughly outclassed
