Ok first off lighten up a bit. No I didn't miss your point. Let's just move on from the issue. Asa said no it wasn't stealing it wasn't near anyone's property if found say next to someone's mailbox I'd have left it. So please let's not turn this into any kind of a flame war I found a knife on the road it's not a big deal.

I don't need to "lighten up a bit", I'm perfectly happy thanks. But you continue to miss the point, it does'nt matter in law where the item was, if you found it and it was'nt yours and you keep it, the law says that is theft, does'nt matter what the value is either - even if something has been put in a bin by its previous owner, you don't have a legal right to just take it. These are simple statements of fact. If you are content to lay yourself open to the potential consequences, have at it mate. Just don't pretend that the law does'nt apply to you , or any other forum member reading your posts. Done with this , as I have cases to prepare for people paying me money for this sort of thing.

I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy

Thats if you can find one "manned".They just don't want to know. They'll take your name n address !if you insist.but I've never been contacted. So now I don't bother...n neither do others...
