Thanks mike, I'm a bit new to all this social forums and stuff, so I'm going to take my time, I have had bad experiences in the past, but so far this one has been overwhelmingly good! I think because this forum is not dedicated to shooting only, people are a bit more open minded, and its made me feel right at home, I don't expect to be handled with kid gloves, and I can hold my own, but its nice that people are nice.
    Cheers

Start your own club ... advertise for members ... couple of rules ... keep it simple ... keep it small to begin with and see were it goes

I'd definitely join if it was a bit closer! It's certainly food for thought!

As said previously, try looking for clubs that cater primarily on Air rifles /pistols. Then the FAC will just be required for those with 12lb/f + but I wouldn't of thought it would be a necessity. I know there are a few local clubs to me which isn't much help to you, but they are out there!
Good luck, I myself am stuck with permissions, I have a couple but they're not that local

As a mental health professional for many years I think that this clubs attitude stinks and they are not worth your time and effort. If your doctor is happy to vouch for you I would see no problem at all.
Try contacting Terry Doe at airgun world magazine I know that he will offer you every possible support.
Good luck mate and good shooting.
