Recently I was shredding scraps of hessian for tinder an after thought using the scrap piece remaining, made a hessian pocket for my flint & steel striker. If I had thought sooner, I could have made it larger to fit a tobacco tin, it didn't occur to me at the time. It does take a smaller round tinder tin I use *old Doc Martens shoe wax tin. I had some small spare buttons in my *Hussif (sewing kit) for my green gear. The hessian pocket maybe used as tinder itself in an emergency situation.
