How not to start the new year. Graphic images for some people!

Not sure if in the right place.

Started to take my xmas deco's down n thought I would recycle my real xmas tree. (and see if I could get any fatwood from it) by using my hachet to chop it up.

Just to add I'm quite new to bushcraft and was using my hachet for first time.

Thought I was doing my bit for the enviroment Then this happened.

Followed by short trip to hospital and six stiches late went home.

P.s. just glad I was at home when I made this mistake because it won't happen again. Lol

    Owwww
I've been fortunate that my axes have never bit into me, though my Silky pocketboy is responsible for several slashes into my fingers...I keep forgetting that it cuts like a lightsabre .

A nice reminder that when flesh meets steel, flesh always loses. There was a time whenever I took my knife out, the kids made the band aids ready, lol
