    Light My Fire Spork

    hello,
A WIP *Posted details on BCUSA forum. I may have found another use for the Light My Fire Titanium Spork. I have a few of these & have been known to use both the fork serrated edge as well as the handle between the spoon & fork as a striker for my ferro rod(s). I was examining the fork end of the Spork, this having a slight curve, the fork teeth can be also used as an improvised tinder scraper. I've examined the opposite blunt edge of the fork teeth, which when I have time, I will see if this will take an edge & use such for a wood shaving edge alike to a wood carving crook mainly for making fire/feather sticks. I'm sure the handle in between the spoon & fork could be given a slight edge too & used as a draw edge blade? thus giving a whole new meaning to *Light My Fire Spork (I'll get my coat..) I have used a smaller Eat N' Tool Spork with similar success mainly as a steel striker for my ferro rods. At present being a WIP I'll stick with the fork end & see how this progresses as I would still want to use the spoon.
    Regards
    David

    hello,
Afterthought.. I did have a LMF plastic fork box cover, I'll check to see if the titanium conversion would fit inside such as this would be ideal as a blade guard once the titanium Spork has an edge. I have a couple of these titanium Sporks as said & in a survival situation *improvisation I'm sure the Spork would come in very useful as per post.

    hello,
Midas I too have a few of these plastic Sporks. I was just thinking along the lines of many uses of items in your kit in any given survival situation, the Titanium Spork & Eat N tool are very useful in more than one way especially in a fire lighting scenario. I received a few of the Sporks from various resources last being Nevis Sport Sauchiehall Street Glasgow.
