    MSR Titanium kettle

    Hello all.
Does anyone know what the internal diameter of the MSR titanium kettle (one of these: http://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/msr-t...?id_colour=180) is?
I'd like to know if I can sit my water bottle inside it.
    Cheers

P.S. Just had a look around. Does anyone know the internal diameter of this one : http://www.backpackinglight.co.uk/po...ugs/SC121.html

Lovely. Nice prompt reply - much appreciated. Cheers.

But now I'm more interested in the second one rather than the MSR. I'd like to know if I can fit a 1L nalgene type bottle inside (which has an external diameter of 90/91mm). The specifications say the pot has a diameter of 95mm, but doesn't say whether that's internal or (most likely) external. And I notice it has a rolled lip and I don't know how many mm's that is taking up.
I note that it also claims to have the same dimensions of the Vargo Ti-Lite mug, which is designed for a 1L nalgene bottle to fit inside. But I'd be happier hearing from someone who knows before shelling out the cash.

In case you want a nice snug fitting food bowl for the MSR Titan kettle? The plastic bowl in the picture is one of those tubs you get in amusement arcades at the seaside. IIRC i also have a large Cornish clotted cream tub (Roddas?) which ain't far off

Oh yes, good call that man!
The only bugger is that I need one before next weekend...
I'll give Alpkit a call on Monday - never know, they may be back in stock or they may have the odd one lurking around somewhere. Nothing to lose by phoning.

    Not from Alpkit, no.
I phoned them but they were out of stock with no idea when they'd be getting them back in.

So I got the one from Backpacking Light instead! Faultless service (even got a free pack of Skittles) - ordered on the Tuesday afternoon, delivered Wednesday morning.
And the pot/mug is exactly what I wanted. The bottle sits in it perfectly. My brew kit is now a whopping 250g lighter. Now, if only someone was to invite a lightweight version of water. Hmm...maybe a dehydrated version - all you have to do is add water to rehydrate it...
