Would Rugely be the closest town to Cannock Chase?

I'm travelling from Birmingham to the Chase via train. Would my best bet to be go to Rugely, then travel to the chase from there?

If you want a nice walk in try the canal, head onto the Trent and Mersey (turn left) just as you reach Little Haywood there is a road bridge here follow the road and you are there
