    For me a point is essential. I use it more for feather sticks than any other part of the blade, makes them resemble 1980s Kevin keegan.

    Isn't it nice when someone says "that's a great piece of kit, where did you buy that", then you can modestly reply "you can't buy it, I made it myself". The moral is, it's amazing what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.

    I've got a buck red point folder that I use as a day knife and the end snapped off a long time ago. can't say I've missed it ti be honest, quite useful as a screwdriver at time though!

    i'm with midge fodder on this one,to me its one of the most important parts of the knife doing what i do.
    i have took the point of my mora filleting knife a few times though on the steel and to be honest i dident miss it for the job in hand...atb kev
