I wonder if the newspaper deliberately omitted the fact that you can get a ride to 2000 ft ish on Aonach Mor on the cable car system there......... ?
Quoting the Nevis Range web blurb
"The gondolas transport visitors effortlessly from 300ft up to 2150ft on the north face of Aonach Mor"
Kind of makes it less of a story then doesn't it ?
Still rest assured Mr Nimby of Surbiton will still be able to have a good 'hurumph' at all these idiots, ranting about the cost to the taxpayer, blah blah blah
