Wow, Lucky guy! I was aware about the shotgun having to be in a slip etc, must have been nice to get out on an adventure and not have to worry about your shooting upsetting anyone!

It is yes, but I always carry a rollup slip with me just incase I happen to bump into some ramblers or when it rains really badly. It doesn't take much space and you can attach it to your belt. There's a picture of it hanging on the shelter right next to the gun, you can just about see it.

Looks like you had an awesome time mate! What is the legality of wandering around with a shotgun? Did you have shooting permission?

If one does not have permission to shoot on the land!!Then one would be commiting armed tresspass!which is a very serious offence!and not like ordanary tresspass,just a civil matter!!.This applies to an airgun as well as firearms.
