From a 5 day family trip up in Piermont, New Hampshire, where we stayed on the property of a friend, a dairy farmer:

Let's take the canoe out for a bit . This side I'm facing is Vermont. I just love seeing the mountains, Canada Hemlocks, and Eastern White Pines shrouded in a delicate veil of mist.

The farmhouse store. Good 'ol-fashioned Americana . On the above shelf on the far right is an engraved Artist's Bracket fungi. The ceiling crossbeams are original to the property - you can still see the hewn marks left by a broad-axe.

It is a great place to spend the night, and no we didn't put a boat in. We used it as a campsite when we walked to the source of the Severn....which BTW is a cracking walk and as we have paddled on the Severn a fair amount it was good to see where it all begins.

Today's picture from me is on the Severn this Saturday gone.....

The river bed exposed a channel and I couldn't resist taking my canoe down it

    Cheers
