Yup. Just took the dog for a walk and even wearing my Ridgeline Monsoon, I wouldn't have liked to be standing still. Two conflicting weather reports for my area (one from BBC TV and one from the BBC website) one says snow and the other rain. Definitely time to get the winter break-down kit back in the car.

Spent yesterday playing by the seaside. Just as well since it was raining today. Still a very windy day though...

    I have a very similar pic :-)

But what is really interesting from a Bushcraft standpoint is the net floaters or what you call them. They are made from rolls of birch bark...so there you have another usage for that.

Sanity Claws saw fit to bring me a new camera!
So I've been playing with it.
To be honest, I'm still using it in 'point and click' mode, because it has an awful lot of features that are above my fluffy little head and will take a while to learn how to use them properly to maximise the camera's potential. But it also allows me to save the images in RAW format which will mean I can do lots of clever things. Once I've worked out how.
But, since we've had some dramatic weather the last couple of days I thought I'd take advantage of it, especially with the colours and light the weather has brought with it...

Right, Boxing Day festivities with the family beckon. Once more unto the breach...

    Lovely pictures
I'd add some of my own if I weren't using someone else's computer :P. But I have some good ones, and hopefully my computer will be all fixed up by January...reformatting a HDD is not fun
