About 213 m/700 ft up on Black Oak Ridge. The summit is 274 m/900 ft, and is the tallest point around except for Pine Mountain (320 m/ 1060 ft) to the south.

    I love Canada Hemlocks .
This time of year, there should be a lot more snow than that. So far we've only had 23 cm/9 inches since November (including 5 cm from today's snow shower) .

That snow melted pretty quickly then. We have more snow on Exmoor at the moment, which I am rather looking forward to.
