Victory awaits the one, that has everything in order - luck we call it
Defeat is an absolute consequense for the one that have neglected to do the necessary preparations - bad luck we call it

A few pictures from today's wander.
First is a pair of marsh harriers. It's a bit of a 'head-on' shot so you'll have to take my word for it that they're marsh harriers. I was actually tracking one of them with my camera (at quite a long zoom) waiting for the right opportunity to take the picture. After clicking the shutter I looked at the picture to see a second harrier had floated into frame!
I'm not 100% about this next, but about 80% certain it's a corn bunting. If anyone knows better I'd love to hear.
And I haven't a clue about this last one. Just some kind of dragonfly or damselfly. Again, if anyone knows, I'd love to hear.

Time for some bannock .
Gluten free recipe for those interested:
1/4 cup Buckwheat flour
a few tablespoons of hemp seed and ground flax seed (gives a wonderful nutty texture)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Himalayan rock salt
Mix well and add just enough water to form a thick paste. Shape in your hands into a ball, press down on pan to 1.5 cm (about half and inch) thickness, and cook over coals/embers. Fairly small for a bannock, but meant to accompany a meal...though three of these will fill you up .
