    Time for some bannock .
Gluten free recipe for those interested:
    1/4 cup Buckwheat flour
a few tablespoons of hemp seed and ground flax seed (gives a wonderful nutty texture)
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon Himalayan rock salt

Mix well and add just enough water to form a thick paste. Shape in your hands into a ball, press down on pan to 1.5 cm (about half and inch) thickness, and cook over coals/embers. Fairly small for a bannock, but meant to accompany a meal...though three of these will fill you up .
Thats different OAT ! must give it a try minus the posh salt of course,

Had to improvise a little now that I'm on a gluten-free diet. Buckwheat flour is without a doubt my fav substitute for regular wheat - more nutritious and flavourful .
Also, you could use cornmeal in place of the hempseed and flax in equal measurements.

Funnily enough, I've been playing with my camera's panorama feature as well...

I've been waiting for the last couple of years for this tree to come down. The day it does, I'm having this...

And, depsite it being Summer, inevitably it also rains. So something to sit beneath and listen to the rain on the tarp whilst having a brew/lunch stop...
