Time for some bannock.
Gluten free recipe for those interested:
1/4 cup Buckwheat flour
a few tablespoons of hemp seed and ground flax seed (gives a wonderful nutty texture)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Himalayan rock salt
Mix well and add just enough water to form a thick paste. Shape in your hands into a ball, press down on pan to 1.5 cm (about half and inch) thickness, and cook over coals/embers. Fairly small for a bannock, but meant to accompany a meal...though three of these will fill you up.

Also, you could use cornmeal in place of the hempseed and flax in equal measurements.
