    Don't forget about the pithy stemmed plants like Burdock, Mullien and Mugwort for the drills, they seem rather fragile at first but work well in my experience. My favourite combinatioin would be a Clematis hearth and Mugwort drill. I've found Field Maple as a hearth works and as most others, Ivy as a hearth works well too.
