    Open ended whoopie slings

Heres one for the Gram weenies among us (me being one)
Im in the process of making some "poop Hammocks" as i call them.
Thanks goes out to HikingDad for the DIY video for these, excellent idea.

And i got to thinking about the suspension setup for it.
I dont want to be taking an extra set of tree huggers, whoopies and 2 extra carabiners just incase i need to go poopie while out.
So i pondered for a while and came up with the open ended whoopie sling.
Basically it cuts out the need for the extra tree straps and carabiners.

Its hard to describe without pics but it has a spliced loop(for a larkshead) with a 1m tail for attachment to the hammock,
then a spliced Dutchware whoopie hook or DutchBiner with a 2m tail on the end.
Then the tails from both lenghts are pulled through just like a whoopie sling so you get adjustable suspension.......

The 2m length with hook goes around the tree and clips to itself then the tail/splice hangs down and connects to the Poop Hammock and Voila................The POOPIE Sling........lol

    Welcome to the forum Rebeldog.

Just a quick question, what diameter slings are you using though? The tree huggers are there to minimise damage to the tree after all but can't see how this works in the same respect.
