    Anyone know anything about the Trail Designs 12-10 meths stove?

    Hiya,

    My beloved Sweedish Trangia burner is dead, it has a split in the base so no longer holds meths. I have been looking at other designs of meths burners and came across this;

    Seems like a decent stove, anyone had any experience of them??

    Also looking at the Vargo Triad XE, it seems to be an improved version of the standard Triad that seemed to not be very popular! Anyone used one!?

    If you're handy with the tool's then build one of these meth tornado wick stoves. I built one and used it for a three day camp out and was spot on. Boil's 500ml of water in 5 and a half mins. I may build a couple more later in the year to give out a gift'sClick image for larger version.

    Looks impresive! I have made loads of Lynx can burners so might give one of these a go! Thanks!

    I made one of these around 2 years ago, it was a rushed emergency action when my MSR stove pump packed up on a test the day before a meet.

    It's still going strong which is testament to the simplicity of the design. I bought a 85g cat food tin for 65p which my two Jack Russell's devoured, then I made the stove.

    Here's the link;
