    Tony1948, Great job, I like the handle retaining idea. Is tha a pyro saddle clamp you've used as a handle? ( ideal if it is, they have a certain heat resistance and are already coated )

    ....Ya Jeff I think they are pyro clamps, I've had a big bag of them in the man cave for years I new there'd come in usefull one day,

    Thanks Tony, but I think Tigger deserves the credit. I just copied what he did and I'm more inclined to show lots of photos and write about it.

    I made another yesterday (no video, sorry - my workshop is far too messy for a video). I turned a knob handle for this one because I think I prefer the control it provides. Screwed in with a bolt from below, it can be replaced or removed if necessary.

    That one is very refined indeed, really nice finish, I guess it's for a NATO crusader and the corners on the concave edge are difficult to craft without ripples, top job. :-)
