Is there no simpler way of sharpening, such as a simple in field sharpener that I can do with one pocket-sized stone without water?? Taking all those stones into the bush doesnt sound practical. Or is that sharpening doesnt tend to be done in field in the first place? ie you sharpen all your blades before you go out?

Can anyone reccomend some good stones? I would check out them in Aldi's but Im miles away from the nearest one.

Some guides reccomend I use a course stone, fine stone, ceramic rod then stropping... Are all those steps required each time you sharpen?

Would this stone be any good for a Mora?

I strop my knife/ knives and give them a drop of oil after each use in the woods. It just takes a couple of minutes, and I just do it allong with cleaning my cooking gear and repacking my go out bag so that when I feel for going out, I can just get dressed for it, grab my bag and go. The knives I always bring, the Enzo and the Leuku I store under the lid of the bag...

In the bag I have a small water stone, 10x2x05 cm for repairs if I nick my knife out there. I have never sharpened when out. I don't use my knives/ axe so much when out that it's needed. And should I need to Have a leather belt on, and can use that as a strop If I have to...
