It would be completely illegal for me to have one of those, I'd use a mountain still if I could but jail isn't worth it

Isn't it nice when someone says "that's a great piece of kit, where did you buy that", then you can modestly reply "you can't buy it, I made it myself". The moral is, it's amazing what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.

It seems it's OK to buy the gear - just don't use it

Aye it's a pain that it's the case, you probably couldn't buy them here, as we aren't trusted not use it lol.

Yes you can, see my link to http://www.lovebrewing.co.uk/still-spirits/stills/

It's a crazy situation: Yes you can buy the all the gear but, NO, you must not use it to make Grog.
It's a bit like the monkeys who sell all the gear for growing Dope

You can buy them in most countries, for purifying water haha,

in New Zealand, it is totally legal to "moonshine" as they call it, haha.

A friend of mine has a full on kit set up in his garage, makes some awesome tasting whiskeys!

I'm getting him to make me up a batch, but not water it down, then I am going to use it as fuel in my Trangia works a treat

In NZ, the way they look at most things is like "it's your life, why would we stop you doing that?"

as long as you aren't hurting anyone, or hurting the beautiful NZ wilderness, you're a free man here.
