I suppose its all relative.... Wouldn't dream of spending £120 on a meal or £70 on a concert, £34 for a footy ticket...or the thick end of £100 for 3 nights camping.....mind you I am a Yorkshireman spending money doesn't come easy to us

if the old fart is not to busy were going
Who went? How did you find it?
I found it to be a bit commercial but for a tenner (Groupon ticket) it was ok for a wet day out!
Oh, and bumped into this guy...

As you know mate I went on Monday, like you say its very comercialised. I did have a good chat with Ben Orford and gave him some spalted walnut for the handle of my new knife. I never saw codey (you git!) but I did listen to a french guy giving a speach on stage who thought it was exceptable to swear (alot) with kids in the audiance! Not very professional even if there are only adults present.
Not good, saying that in my line of work its not only acceptable but in some cases seemingly mandatory to swear quite a lot during lessons/presentations!!! I watched a little of Lofty which was really his generic "army days" talk but great to listen to nonetheless, also met a few guys whos YouTube channels i've subscribed to which was cool to meet them. I'm thinking the Wilderness Gathering would be more my cup of tea but its over the Wifes birthday weekend so not sure i'll be making it unless i can get her hooked in time!

I was there for the weekend, bought my ticket early so got a 25% reduction.
I have to say I enjoy the show. I get what people say regarding commercialism, that is almost inevitable. however, there are plenty of top notch speakers to listen to. Some hard to get hold of pieces of kit, Andrew Kirkam springs to mind. Also the amount of free demo`s are impossible to attend.
There are some issues, which I will put to the organisers later this week, re some of the amenities. Overall I am happy with the show and would encourage anyone to give it a go.
