    Quick update,

Fired up and used the stove on wood, my worries were
1 /. that air flow may be have been wrong due to the design change from Nimblewill's original, but it burnt very well indeed (burn down to dusty powder and mostly blew away )
2/. that it would scorch underneath, it didn't... I can only assume that the air flow being drawn under the grate stopped this coupled with the small holes in the grate preventing drop through of coals,

sorry, I was so excited that not one photo got taken. I got carried away with food, will rectify that next time,

I did however also try it as a wind shield / pot stand with meths burners, The trangia worked very well as did the tatonka,
but as you will see from the photos the White box stove got over excited.
With the heat retained in the steel it worked it up into a frenzy (using bio-ethanol at the time) But my tea was ready in seconds....lol

Very neat, you made a good job at that.

will you be burning wood in it?

Have you thought about making a bigger one to use as a fire box?

    Cheers

Hi, I have already.... mentioned above but no photos, it's really good and made from 125mm square stock it fits nicely in a leather CD Case (stops the bits separating and blacking other kit in my day sack)

Thanks for the compliment, it was very easy to make

I made it easy for myself by getting the stainless in 125mm x 125mm squares, saves a lot of cutting

Nice stove Tig, Ive got 1 half finished in the shed. Its been there almost a year now, I was making mine taller for longer burning time, may get round to sorting it this year, who knows. So much to do so little time to do it, C'est la vie

Forgot to say, the stainless tube I used as trangia support and grill top/pot stand came from a very cheap £4 stainless steel pot stand from Ikea, (a great source of cheap light tube) there's loads left for other projects
