    Plenty of us on here are old enough to remember regular bad winters, coal gas, regular power interruptions and such. We prep and don't think of it as prepping its just common sense....

    it was what my parents did in the 50s only it wasn't called prepping then it was called common sense!!

    Isn't it nice when someone says "that's a great piece of kit, where did you buy that", then you can modestly reply "you can't buy it, I made it myself". The moral is, it's amazing what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.

    The original posting date and date of the last post are on every thread easy to spot how old the thread is...remark was made on another thread of a similar vintage early on in your posting history
