    Surviving Alone in Alaska

I really enjoyed this film. The chap and his wife are the only people for hundreds of square miles and live there all year round. They live a hard life but with some 'luxuries', a way of watching a film, emergency comms etc but its still no piece of cake living their lifestyle. He was criticised on another forum for the way he killed a rabbit but methods do vary so I'll not judge the man on that.

For those of you who've not seen the film just sit back and enjoy.

You know what, I thought that he did take a while dispatching the rabbit. The bear sounds like it took over ten rounds to finish, but I've got nothing but respect for this man. Watch this if you can.

Thanks for that, Rik, very sad near the end, brought a lump to me throat.

If I was 20yrs of age again and have the knowledge I have now, I know where I'd be spending the rest of my life........Corfu.

Knowing what I know now and with the wife finally retiring from nursing, I'll be spending six months of my life in Spain comes 2015 I'll put a hammock on the patio.
