    Sub zero adventure

    Hi all,

Just back from my little overnighter.
Temperatures were cold but the fire was warm and my arctic sleeping bag - Hi Gear Summit 350 Sleeping Bag (although quite bulky but wouldn't leave home without it) kept me and Lola toasty warm .

Within the camp there is a fallen tree and this is perfect for firewood.
Roast chicken and some chorizo burgers were enjoyed by all.

Some photos for your viewing pleasure...

An interesting 'growth' on this tree...

Believe it or not, we pretty much cleared this area all the way to the fallen tree (a lot of dead wood)

    Hi David,

Yeah, it's at the back end of Bishopton beside Formakin Estate.
Are you from this neck of the woods (pardon the pun )

    Hi palerider,

Yes, it's a nice quiet spot, about a mile trek.
Happy to take you there after the snow comes and goes.
