Short day out in the mountain

    Hello to all.
After several months of being trapped between four walls at work and at home, I finally had a chance to get out and be happy last sunday Sept.22

My family wanted to visit some relatives that live in a rural area, so the whole family went there. One of my sons and I sneaked out about 40 minutes driving into the mountain, and came to a nice spot.

Since this trip was meant to be a short one, we didn't bring much gear with us... But we stole some chicken and vegetables from our relative's house so we would have something to eat.

We found this spot which is ideal for camp. Relatively flat, there is a stream of water about 50 meters away, and it has some nice spots for setting up tarps and hammocks.
After surveying the site for an hour or so, we got hungry. So I took out my little set, we lit up a fire, and cooked us some chicken soup with broccoli and potato. Nice!

We will be going there again on Oct. 6 but then we will come to stay.

    Here are some photos.

Thanks for reading, enjoy the nature!

Nice one, I bet the chicken tasted all the better for being "borrowed" and cooked on the mountain

Well done on the "escape"..not always easy from the family.. I bet you enjoyed the silence on the mountain too, as well as the food. Have a good trip in October..
