    Awesome Bush-craft book

I have just got back from a business trip and bought a book to read on the plane. If you haven't read it already it's a really riveting story about a guy who found his perfect forest hideaway in Canada. The book is called "Cache Lake Country" and is written by John J Rowlands. It is full of bush craft and is illustrated full of hand drawn sketches to illustrate the text. It covers a full year month by month and is a real insight into life in the Northern forest including first aid remedies and native american wisdom. A good read.

Isn't it nice when someone says "that's a great piece of kit, where did you buy that", then you can modestly reply "you can't buy it, I made it myself". The moral is, it's amazing what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.
