Thread: What're you foraging right now?

Walked the dog across the common by our river yesterday. Never seen any field mushrooms there before, but yesterday I picked nearly a pound of good firm field 'shrooms. Lovely with my fry up this morning!

Not really food foraging, but I'm on the hunt for a bow drill set. I know for a fact that there is a huge trunk of dead standing ivy in my local woods but can I heck find it again. There's probably 8-10 miles of different routes so its taking a while.

Of out this afternoon to grab some rock and marsh samphire to accompany some sea bass for tea! Got 3lb of elderberry's in the freezer that need to be turned into wine! Might grab some blackberry's and apples while I'm out too for a crumble
failing to prepare = preparing to fail

Pray not for a lighter load, but for a stronger back.

Hardly foraging but found that the end of our garden has turned into blackberry heaven this year. What with these and the apples from our trees, we have not done too bad for easy pickings.

Does foraging in your own garden count? Today from foraging 20+lbs damsons I made:

Six large jars of Damson Gin
    Fifteen jars Damson Jam
Four gallons Damson wine ( well about to ferment anyhow!)
